Live Online Training

Students attend engaging, live online training sessions 6p - 8p ET each Tue & Thu for 20 weeks where students interact with their certified trainer and other like-minded, entry-level trainees.

NHA CCMA Exam Prep

You will prepare for and earn the NHA CCMA certification before completing HealthWorks! You will be provided with everything needed to pass the exams, including access to innovative learning materials, exam vouchers, individualized tutoring, and more.

  • Yes. HealthWorks provides students with a CCMA exam testing voucher as part of the program, provided eligibility requirements are met. 

  • The testing voucher covers the cost of one attempt at the NHA CCMA certification exam. 

  • Students typically sit for the CCMA exam near the end of the program, after completing certification review, practice exams, and required coursework.

Schedule & Time Commitment FAQs

  • Live classes are typically held 2 days a week from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Ex. Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Thursday). See upcoming start dates for accurate schedule information. 

  • Students complete asynchronous coursework, labs, simulations, and assignments on the learning platform during non-class days. 

  • No. Independent coursework can be completed on your own schedule, as long as assignments are submitted on time. 

  • Yes. Make-up work may be allowed through approved activities such as: 

    • Additional one-on-one sessions 

    • Extra coursework or simulations 

    Make-up sessions may occur outside regular class hours, including evenings or weekends. 

Technology Requirements FAQs 

  • Students must have: 

    • A laptop or desktop computer (Windows or Mac, 4 years old or newer) 

    • Webcam, microphone, and speakers 

    • Reliable internet access 

    • Google Chrome browser (recommended) 

  • Yes. On the first day, students attend an orientation that includes: 

    • Login instructions 

    • A guided tour of the digital classroom 

    • Support accessing course materials 

Attendance & Grading FAQs

  • Attendance is tracked through: 

    • Logging into and participating in live Zoom sessions 

    • Submitting attendance through the learning portal 

    • Completing assigned coursework 

    Three partial absences equal one full absence. 

  • All assignments are graded automatically through the learning management system (LMS). Students can view grades immediately after submission. 

  • Students must achieve at least two of the following three outcomes

    • Earn a certification 

    • Achieve at least 70% attendance 

    • Demonstrate a measurable skill gain

  • Yes. The program includes professional development support such as: 

    • Resume building

  • Students who meet completion requirements and certification criteria will receive program completion recognition and support toward CCMA certification. 

Class Size & Support FAQs 

  • Our programs average about 18 students per live class. Larger sessions may have a maximum of about 30 students per instructor. For larger classes, an assistant trainer may be added.

  • Students are expected to: 

    • Participate actively 

    • Complete assignments on time 

    • Maintain academic integrity 

    • Follow online etiquette guidelines 

    • Communicate respectfully with instructors and peers 

  • Yes. Students with documented disabilities should contact their local Vocational Rehabilitation agency (if relevant) and their instructor prior to the start of classes to arrange accommodations.
